History
Cyclades means cyclic. This group of islands was named by ancient Greek geographers, as the islands surround the the sacred island of Delos, the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, as a circle surrounds its center.

Location
Located in the southeast of the mainland in the Aegean Sea. Famous “Meltemi” blows there during July and August and cools days and nights on those small diamonds that lay on the deep blue velvet of the sea.
Must see
Apart from unique and very important ancient/byzantine ruins and trademark white/blue buildings, these islands offer you entertainment, religious worship, isolation, and even a volcano! In such a small area, you can find hidden treasures.

The ideal time to charter a yacht in the Cyclades is from the beginning of June to the middle of July, as winds around the Cyclades can get pretty strong towards the end of July and August. Those winds called “Meltemi” blow from the north-northwest with forces reaching up to 7-8 BFT. If you are an experienced sailor, you will enjoy them.
The best way to reach the Cyclades is from Marina Alimos, Lavrion, Mykonos and Paros.
